
Yannick Du Pont
Yannick has worked since 1994 on higher (vocational) education and economic development programmes in fragile and conflict-affected states, primarily as founder of SPARK and Glocalshift. His work focuses on designing scalable, multi-stakeholder economic development programmes in fragile context with a strong localisation approach. And resourcing these locally, with business, and Western and Gulf funders. Regionally, he is most active in the MENA region and Ukraine.
He is a member of the Development Cooperation Committee at the Netherlands State Advisory Council on International Affairs. He also serves on the Boards of Open Door Ukraine, United Work, and the Wake Up Foundation, and sits on the Advisory Board of the Centre of Theory of Change. In addition, he is a member of the DIHAD International Scientific Advisory Board (DISAB) in Dubai. He is a lecturer on innovation in the humanitarian field and on building EU–Gulf aid partnerships at the DIHAD/Murcia MA programme, and guest lecturer at Radboud University Nijmegen.
