Head of the International Finance Facility for Immunisation (IFFIm), GAVI

Teuta is Head of the International Finance Facility for Immunisation (IFFIm), a financing mechanism that issues vaccine bonds in capital markets to raise funds for Gavi’s immunisation programmes.

At Gavi, she previously led engagement with the European Union and supported the organisation’s resource mobilisation and growth strategies. Prior to Gavi, she served in the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Albania, as Adviser to the Minister and Head of the Domestic Borrowing Unit, where she managed the country’s domestic debt portfolio and contributed to macroeconomic and financing strategy.

Her earlier experience includes policy and market analysis at the Bank for International Settlements and work on multilateral financial coordination at the European Stability Mechanism. She holds a Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor in Business Economics from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
