
Su’ad Jarbawi
Su'ad Jarbawi serves on the War Child Alliance’s Supervisory Council. Over the course of her career, she has earned a reputation for successfully leading teams that deliver effective and innovative solutions in fragile and conflict settings. Most recently, she worked as Middle East and North Africa Regional Vice President at the International Rescue Committee.
Before joining the International Rescue Committee in 2020, Jarbawi worked at Mercy Corps as Middle East Regional Director (2017-2020), Country Director in Iraq (2015-2017), Team Leader within the Global Emergencies Team in Yemen, Mali, Central African Republic, Iraq and Syria (2012-2015), Head of Office in Haiti (2010-2012) and Program Manager in Sudan (2004-2005). In 2007 she returned to her home country, Palestine, where she advised on municipal development projects and subsequently served in the Prime Minister’s Office.
Jarbawi holds an MA in International Affairs from Columbia University and a BA in Political Science from Earlham College. She can speak to you about global affairs with passion in English, Arabic or French.
