Stephanie Dei is the Head of the Private Sector Partnerships Division at the International Organization for Migration, IOM – UN Migration, in Geneva, Switzerland. She oversees IOM’s engagement with the private sector throughout IOM’s 150+ offices around the world and the Goodwill Ambassador program. Previously, Stephanie was an Advisor to the CEO of the Canadian Academy of Film and Television on diversity, equity and inclusion and the Director of Research Partnerships at Toronto Metropolitan University in Canada, where she focused on women’s entrepreneurship and diversity and inclusion. Stephanie also led UN Women’s Economic Empowerment program in Canada, which forged deeper collaboration between the private and public sector to advance women’s economic empowerment throughout the G7 countries (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States). Stephanie’s early career was built at private sector companies such as IKEA and Rogers Communications, as well as the Government of Canada’s Foreign Affairs and International Trade Department. She is the Co-Founder of the African Development Forum at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in the United Kingdom. Born and raised in Canada to African migrants from Ghana, Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Political Science and Law from Carleton University, Canada, and a Master of Arts in International Studies and Diplomacy from SOAS, at the University of London, UK. Stephanie is married with five children.
