Siddhartha Sinha
Siddhartha Sinha heads Innovative Finance at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. Innovative Financing at UNHCR develops solutions that go beyond the traditional humanitarian financing model, bringing more sustainable and impactful resources to support displaced people and their host communities.
Flagship innovative financing initiatives include the Green Financing Facility to transition UNHCR’s global operations to clean energy; the Refugee Environmental Protection Fund, UNHCR’s first blended finance facility supporting climate action in displacement contexts; and the Global Islamic Fund for Refugees, a philanthropic endowment launched in partnership with the Islamic Development Bank.
Prior to joining UNHCR in 2020, Siddhartha led a number of structured financing and investment solutions businesses for Deutsche Bank’s Global Markets division in Europe and the Americas. He was most recently the Head of the Bank’s Global Investment Solutions business based in New York.
