Sevita’s career in development started with implementing economic justice programs in Egypt and Tunisia on rural development, youth employment, and social inclusion. At Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, she focused her Master's research and consulting on rural economic development through social inclusion and food systems. Prior to Trickle Up, she consulted with the World Food Programme, the International Fund for Agriculture and Development, Innovations for Poverty Action, and MIT’s Legatum Center for Entrepreneurship and Development.
Through her field experience and research, Sevita has developed a passion for long-lasting development work that continues to transform social fabrics and the status quo.
Her creative background has been honed through her work with community organizing, student organizing, and advocacy.
