
Rachel Stevens

Rachel Stevens is Global WASH Specialist with over 15 years’ experience in both humanitarian and development contexts. She has been instrumental in the co-design and implementation of innovative WASH projects in a variety of fragile contexts, including a WASH Payment by Results contract. Reflecting her sector interests, Rachel has authored practitioner guidance on Social and Behaviour Change in WASH, Market Based Sanitation, and Systems Strengthening, and has developed a suite of WASH indicators. Rachel has provided surge technical support for emergency responses in numerous countries, and evaluated Tearfund’s ebola response in West Africa. With a Masters Degree in Development Management and an APM Project Management Qualification, Rachel brings a strategic and practical perspective to integrating sanitation and hygiene. She is passionate about motivating and inspiring others to deliver effective and sustainable WASH solutions.
