Mike O’Brien is the Technical Director for FHI 360’s Crisis Response and Resilience Department, overseeing the humanitarian sectors of Health, WASH, Protection, Nutrition, and Monitoring and Evaluation. He specializes in humanitarian emergencies related to natural disasters, conflict, mass displacement, and disease outbreaks with 5 years of US/domestic public health experience and over 17 years of international work in countries that include: Afghanistan, Albania, Armenia, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burma, the DRC, Ethiopia, Georgia, Haiti, Iraq, Liberia, Malawi, Nepal, Pakistan, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, and Uganda. Mike holds a Masters of Applied Science in Humanitarian Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
