Matthias Amling

Matthias joined Welthungerhilfe (WHH) in 2014 and currently serves as Deputy Humanitarian Director, overseeing, among other areas, the organisation’s Anticipatory Action portfolio. He is WHH’s Grand Bargain Sherpa, represents the organisation within ICVA and the Start Network, and is an elected member of the Strategic Advisory Group of the Global Food Security Cluster. In his previous position in the German Federal Foreign Office, Matthias worked in the humanitarian divisions with a focus on Disaster Risk Reduction and Anticipatory Action.
