Maeve is an experienced humanitarian practitioner, having responded to emergencies across Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean (Haiti, Dominican Republic, Small Island States) and more recently, to complex emergencies in Ukraine and the Middle East. With a decade of work focused specifically on older people, she is committed to the age and disability inclusive agenda within the humanitarian field and in enhancing locally-led age-inclusive responses. With a focus on programme quality and accountability, Maeve leads the MEAL and Core Humanitarian Standards remit of HelpAge’s humanitarian department. She holds a Master of Arts on International Affairs and Conflict Resolution from The American University of Paris.
