Layma is the Vice President of Business Development and a Board member for Aseel Technology. She has spent the last 15 years working in the diaspora communities in the US, specifically in California and Washington DC and has over 10 years’ experience working in the humanitarian sector across Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen and Türkiye. She has worked for the Aga Khan Foundation, the Danish Refugee Council, the International Rescue Committee and the IOM. She has a double master’s in international development management and Forced Migration and Refugee Studies. She also has long time experience of local organizing and crowdfunding for different campaigns across Afghanistan and is here to share her experiences and learnings with us.
