Larysa Symonenko
Larysa Symonenko leads the Sumy regional unit of the Charitable Foundation “Unity and Strength,” a Ukrainian humanitarian organisation providing comprehensive assistance to war-affected communities across the Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.
She brings extensive experience in organisational leadership, team management, humanitarian project coordination and community engagement. Her work includes direct provision of the in-kind humanitarian assistance in the frontline areas of Ukraine, coordinating psychosocial support for children and families in frontline communities, strengthening cooperation with local authorities and humanitarian partners, and responding to the needs of vulnerable populations.
With a strong background in education and community-based support, Larysa combines practical operational experience with a people-centred approach to humanitarian response.
