
Julie Blümmel-Gascoin
Julie Blümmel-Gascoin brings 15 years of cross-sector experience spanning development finance, the private sector, and humanitarian sectors. With more than a decade living and working in frontier markets, she has developed a deep understanding of complex business environments and development challenges. Julie has mobilized over €500 million toward energy and water projects in Sub-Saharan Africa, enhancing sustainable access to essential services. During her tenure at the ICRC, she contributed to developing the concept of humanitarian blended finance, supporting innovative approaches to funding humanitarian impact within the nexus. As Associate Director for Innovative Finance at Save the Children Global Ventures, Julie specializes in designing and mobilizing blended finance and innovative funding models that address pressing issues affecting children and their families, unlocking additional private sector participation and funding.
