Imad Abuhasira

Imad Abuhasira is a former field officer with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), where he served for 22 years in Gaza, Palestine, as part of the Protection of Civilian Population (PCP) program. Throughout his career, Imad focused on protection field work, including identifying and following up on protection-related cases, documenting violations of International Humanitarian Law (IHL), and coordinating safe access for life-saving evacuations. He delivered training sessions on IHL and safe access to military personnel, academia, and community groups, while also providing direct support to humanitarian missions. Imad's role involved contextual analysis and building strong networks with local partners such as the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.
