Georg-Sebastian Holzer is the Director of the Emergency Response Ukraine for the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and engaged in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion. Holzer has over 15 years of experience in international development and crisis management with GIZ. He previously served as Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa at GIZ International Services and spent five years in Brussels as a Security Sector Advisor. Earlier in his career, he worked in Somalia, Afghanistan, and Iran, focusing on governance and stabilization.
