Chair, Nahda Makers Organization (NMO) Yemen

I am currently the Head of Nahda Makers Organization (NMO) in Yemen, bringing over a decade of experience in humanitarian leadership, education in emergencies, and advocacy and coordination. I represent NMO on the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT), chair the Yemen Localization Task Force, and collaborate closely with UN Women in the development of Yemen’s national gender strategies. Additionally, I represent Yemeni NGOs in the Advocacy Working Group, ensuring that local voices are heard in national and international platforms.

Previously, I served as the Education Cluster Coordinator with Save the Children, where I led multi-agency coordination, capacity building, and advocacy efforts within Yemen’s education response. This role involved direct engagement with local authorities, national NGOs, UN agencies, and international donors — including participation in high-level strategic dialogues such as the EU Senior Officials Meeting.

I hold a Master’s degree in Education and International Development from the University of East Anglia (UK), along with several certifications in conflict-sensitive programming, humanitarian law, and education in emergencies.
