Faisal bin Mohammed Al-Kahtani
Eng. Faisal Mohammed Al-Kahtani is a seasoned executive in the field of international development, bringing over two decades of experience to his role as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD). He has contributed to transformative projects in least developed countries and communities, working across key areas including economic development, humanitarian aid, education, healthcare, governance and global partnerships.
Appointed as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2023, Eng. Al-Kahtani overlooks SFD’s global portfolio of development projects across Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia and the Pacific, and Europe, ensuring their successful execution in collaboration with global partners and institutions. Prior to this role, he served as Executive Director of Operations at SFD from 2019 to 2023, and previously as a civil engineer in the Operations department from 2003 to 2019. Eng. Al-Kahtani holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from California State University (USA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from King Saud University (KSA). He has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2011 and a licensed professional Civil Engineer with the Saudi Council of Engineers since 2016. He is also an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
