Eugide Lalé Mbunda
Eugide Lalé Mbunda is a humanitarian professional with over a decade of experience in coordinating multisectoral humanitarian responses in crisis contexts. Currently Country Director of Première Urgence Internationale in the Democratic Republic of Congo, he leads a humanitarian response encompassing health, nutrition, protection, water access, and food security in the context of cyclical and protracted crises in the east of the country, marked by restricted humanitarian space.
He has previously coordinated and taken part in complex humanitarian operations in several African countries and in Haiti. Holding degrees in Business Management and Humanitarian Leadership, he combines expertise in financial management, humanitarian strategy, governance, and operational coordination. His commitment is driven by a deep conviction: to restore the dignity of people affected by crises through actions centred on their needs.
Beyond his role within his organisation, Eugide is also a researcher in local humanitarian leadership, convinced that “local knowledge is the deep root that nourishes the tree of a forward-looking humanitarian response."
