Dimitri Kotsiras
Dimitri is a seasoned research and programmes specialist with experience in the peacebuilding and development space working for non-profit organisations in Europe and Canada. As a Research Manager at Peace Direct, Dimitri oversaw Peace Direct’s research portfolio and strategy, and he supported strengthening research practice both internally and with local partners. Among other initiatives, he led on the USAID-funded ‘Stopping As Success’ project on effective partnership transitions, managed global consultation forums and mapping efforts on Platform4Dialogue and Peace Insight, respectively, and spearheaded Peace Direct’s research on decolonising the wider aid sector.
He has previously supported democracy strengthening programmes at Westminster Foundation for Democracy, acted as a researcher and campaigner with Crisis Action and Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East, and worked at the United Nations reporting on the UN Security Council.
