Finnpartnership is a program of Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and it is operated by Finnfund the Finnish development financier and impact investor.
The purpose of Finnpartnership is to give seed funding for Finnish companies as grants for long term business projects such as JV, subsidiary, subcontracting, franchising, licensing and exporting to Finland, the kind of commercial activities that create sustainable jobs in the target country. And to facilitate Matchmaking between Finnish companies and companies in developing markets.
Financing also includes opportunities to collaborate with UN-organizations and NGO’s, with for example piloting technologies and co-creating innovations. Maximum grant is 400 000 €. Finnpartnership also runs monthly online “application workshops”, where over 300 Finnish companies learn annually how to work with ODA, official development assistance funding.
