Aluel Atem is a South Sudanese feminist peacebuilder, organizer, and strategic gender advisor with extensive experience working across feminist movements, peacebuilding, humanitarian response, and gender justice in conflict-affected contexts. She is based between Juba, South Sudan, and Nairobi, Kenya. She is passionate about writing, storytelling, learning, and exploring how communities preserve memory, culture, and hope in the face of protracted crises. Aluel loves coffee and enjoys taking walks and naps.
