Aloys Mahwa

Living Peace Institute (LPI)
Aloys Mahwa is the Country Director of the Living Peace Institute (LPI) in Goma, DRC, leading programs across North Kivu, South Kivu, Ituri, and Kinshasa. He provides strategic guidance on promoting positive masculinities, preventing sexual and gender-based violence, and advancing community-based mental health initiatives. Aloys coordinates multi-stakeholder engagement, strengthens partnerships, supervises monitoring and evaluation, and ensures effective resource management. A regional advocate, he co-founded the Interdisciplinary Genocide Studies Center and is a Salzburg Global Seminar Fellow. He holds Master’s degrees in Project Management and Managerial Economics, and a Bachelor’s in Philosophy from Jesuit Faculties of Paris.
