Michael is Head of Humanitarian at Christian Aid. Prior to Christian Aid he worked on emergency preparedness at World Food Programme, headed the Pandemic Influenza team at UNOCHA and was Head of Conflict Humanitarian and Security Dept at DFID. He co-chairs the ACT Alliance humanitarian reference group and UK branch of United Against Inhumanity and is on the Steering Committee of ALNAP.
