As a humanitarian aid organization focused on health, Yeryüzü Doktorları began its work with the support of more than 550,000 donors and over 50,000 volunteers. To date it has implemented hundreds of projects in more than 80 countries, reaching over 20 million beneficiaries. Initially setting out by organizing short term health camps with volunteer medical teams, Yeryüzü Doktorları has over time undertaken longer term projects.
Within the scope of its work continuing for more than 25 years the organization carries out volunteer medical team services, cataract camps, water well and food assistance activities, sacrificial donation operations, emergency response, equipment and medicine support and health education projects. At the same time Yeryüzü Doktorları operates permanent health centers in 8 countries Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Chad, Somalia, Syria, Yemen, Tanzania and Palestine where it provides maternal and child health services, nutrition health services, primary healthcare services for those in need.
