Insana Deger Veren Dernekler Federasyonu (IDDEF)

IDDEF (Federation of Associations That Value Humanity) is an international humanitarian and educational non-governmental organization headquartered in Istanbul, Türkiye. Founded on the principle of restoring dignity and self-reliance to vulnerable populations, IDDEF operates active educational and humanitarian projects across 55+ countries throughout Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and the Balkans. Furthermore, specialized religious education programs are offered in Türkiye for international students also originating from Europe and America. The organization holds official Public Benefit Status granted by the Republic of Türkiye, underscoring its governance, transparency, and operational integrity.

IDDEF’s strategic model integrates immediate crisis response with long-term, sustainable development. Operating through 63 institutional madrasas and learning centers supported by 640+ qualified educators, IDDEF currently provides education and care to over 19,000 students (including 7,800+ in Hifz Koran studies and 10,800+ in Islamic and Arabic studies).

Its field initiatives focus on four primary pillars:

Educational & Youth Development: Managing structured madrasas, international student programs, and sponsorships to train future community leaders and scholars.

Water & Sanitation (WASH): Constructing durable water wells and sanitation facilities to deliver clean drinking water to drought-affected rural regions.

Emergency & Disaster Relief: Supplying essential food, medical assistance, shelter, and winterization aid to conflict zones and disaster-stricken areas.

Community Welfare & Healthcare: Supporting orphanages, mobile clinics, and local infrastructure projects designed to strengthen community resilience.

Gaza Humanitarian Relief Operationn

In response to the severe crisis and conflict in the Gaza Strip, IDDEF carries out emergency operations tailored to immediate survival needs:

Food Security: Distributing emergency food parcels and organizing hot meal distributions to combat widespread hunger.

Medical and Health Support: Supplying fuel to keep hospitals and water facilities operational, delivering medicine and surgical equipment, providing surgical support for the injured, and maintaining ambulance services.

Direct & In-Kind Aid: Distributing cash assistance (cash aid), hygiene and necessity packages specifically for women and children, as well as essential shelter materials like blankets and mattresses.

Afghanistan Sustainable Infrastructure and Development Projects

Across 23 provinces in Afghanistan, IDDEF has implemented 115 facilities focused on education, culture, healthcare, and public infrastructure:

Educational Complexes & Madrasas: Operationalizing major facilities in Wardak (housing and educating 1,000 orphans) and the Ghazni Bazaar Complex. Overall, 21 madrasas are completed or under construction, including Kabul's Madrasa (capacity 1500 students), alongside facilities in Laghman, Khost, Zabul, and Nangarhar.

Mosques & Community Centers: Constructing 21 mosques, such as the Kabul Ministry of Energy and Water Mosque (capacity for 1,250 worshippers and 350 study circles), the Mosques in Herat and Logar, and the Mosque in Ghazni.

Orphanages & Housing: Managing 6 orphanages across Ghazni, Paktia, Sar-e-Pol, and Kabul (Arghandi). Following the Herat earthquake, IDDEF constructed 20 permanent earthquake-resistant housing units

Healthcare, Water & Agriculture: Developing a Maternity and Children's Hospital in Ghazni; establishing a water distribution plant in Sarobi serving 40,000 people; constructing an agricultural irrigation canal in Paktika; and digging 22 water wells.

Emergency Response: Delivering tents, hot meals, food parcels, and winterization aid during earthquake and flood disasters.

By combining direct educational infrastructure with grassroots logistics, IDDEF effectively links global donors to underserved beneficiaries. At AidEx, IDDEF seeks to establish strategic partnerships with international NGOs, institutional donors, and logistics providers to expand its global impact and scale innovative field solutions across marginalized regions.
