Next-Gen Impact - How Blockchain is Scaling Humanitarian and Development Action

23 Oct 2025
Workshop Room 1

Traditional donor funding is under existential strain, yet humanitarian and development actors are already turning to blockchain to unlock new resources and scale innovation. This panel brings together the Cardano Foundation, UNDP, UNHCR, and 5am.earth to share concrete applications: supporting SDG-focused startups, strengthening NGO verification using digital identity, mobilising new resources via digital philanthropy, and developing environmental oracles for agricultural empowerment and conservation. Together, we will explore how blockchain can complement traditional aid models, foster new partnerships, and open pathways to more resilient financing for global development and humanitarian action.
