Health in crisis - Defending access, upholding principles

22 Oct 2025
Workshop Room 4

In today’s challenging humanitarian landscape—marked by shrinking space, complex crises, and reduced funding—ensuring access to health services has never been more critical. This workshop, led by Première Urgence Internationale, will bring together field practitioners and global health experts to explore operational strategies, partnership approaches, and principled frameworks that safeguard healthcare delivery in crisis settings.

Through case studies from the Democratic Republic of Congo and other fragile contexts, participants will gain practical insights on negotiating humanitarian access, sustaining programs under pressure, and addressing the ethical and legal imperatives of health as a human right.

Join this interactive session to exchange experiences, identify collective solutions, and reaffirm the role of humanitarian principles in defending access to healthcare for populations most at risk.
