Given that 80% of humanitarian needs are recurrent and protracted, there is a unique opportunity to shift a portion of funding to public-private investments. Yet, many key actors are constrained by outdated value-for-money metrics, rigid regulations, and limited political space to take innovative risks.

This high-level panel will examine the political economy of aid financing, spotlight the challenge of messaging internal/external narratives, and unpack the path towards structural reform that enables greater innovative participation and financing models.
