Leadership and localisation: Where do we stand?

24 Oct 2024
Discussion Room

The session aims to facilitate a reflective discussion on the progress, challenges, and way
forward regarding the localization agenda in humanitarian action with a particular focus on
the role of leadership of national, local actors. It will critically examine the commitment to
localization, particularly within the framework of the Grand Bargain, and explore strategies
to empower local actors through financial support and capacity building. It will bring together
diverse stakeholders, including representatives from local and national organizations,
international NGOs, UN agencies, and donors, to engage in a constructive dialogue and
exchange perspectives on this critical issue.
