CGIAR x WFP Innovation Accelerator: Supporting innovators to better serve areas affected by fragility, conflict and migration

23 Oct 2024
Case Study Room

To better serve areas affected by fragility, conflict and migration, humanitarian and development actors can support innovators in providing clean water, nutritious food, shelter or healthcare. The Stability and Peace Innovation Accelerator program offers the combined expertise of the CGIAR and WFP Innovation Accelerator to high potential, high-impact innovators operating in Jordan, Kenya, and Nigeria. In this case study, our team presents our lessons learned and achievements from each actor's perspective, including the innovators themselves. The Accelerator has raised awareness among innovators, innovation users, and actors of the enabling environment. It provided knowledge and networks, fostered resource mobilization, assisted in innovation testing, and helped mitigate risks. It built capacity, guided the innovators through novel processes towards novel outcomes and endorsed the innovation to the level that it has proven to achieve impacts.

You are invited to join our session to learn more about our experience and how you could engage in innovation acceleration, with other development and humanitarian and private sector actors, to accelerate sustainability impacts.
