AidEx Brussels

AidEx is the leading international event dedicated to the unique needs of development and aid professionals across the world; held over two days annually at Brussels Expo, in Belgium.

AidEx is recognised as a major platform for networking, making new contacts and doing business. By taking part, you will forge new relationships in the community, raise awareness of your organisation and be involved in the sourcing of new solutions to improve the efficiency of aid delivery.


AidEx Africa

Now in it's fourth year, AidEx Africa is a two-day high-profile conference which takes place annually in Nairobi, Kenya. AidEx Africa was developed as a satellite event to the already well-established AidEx conference and exhibition for humanitarian and development aid, held each year in Brussels.

AidEx Africa attracts over 300 delegates from the Government of Kenya, UN agencies, Kenyan Red Cross and leading NGOs from Africa and beyond.

Walvis Bay Corridor Group

Johny M. Smith is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Walvis Bay Corridor Group. The Walvis Bay Corridor Group (WBCG) constitutes a Public Private Partnership (PPP) of transport and logistics stakeholders, who jointly work towards developing the various Corridor routes through the Port of Walvis Bay, and facilitating fast, safe, reliable and efficient transport along these routes.

As the CEO of the WBCG, he is leading the growth and development of new business along the three main corridor routes in Namibia. These corridor routes are the TransKalahari route which links Namibia with Botswana and Gauteng, The Walvis Bay-Ndola-Lubumbashi route which links Namibia with Zambia, DRC and Zimbabwe as well as the TransCunene Highway, which links Namibia to Southern Angola.

He has more than 25 year’s commercial experience in the fields of telecommunications, land and sea transportation. His relevant experience covers the aspects of Business Strategy, Organisational development, Business Development, Marketing and Project Management. He has previously been serving various positions and roles at Namport, Telecom Namibia as well as TransNamib.

His academic qualifications include a B Comm degree, MBA and various other management and logistics courses and conferences, which he attended and presented. He also serves as a Commissioner of the National Planning Commission and serving on the Board of Namibia Post and Telecom Holdings, Namibia Trade Forum, as well as Men on the Side of the Road, which is a non-profit organisation. He also serves as the Chairperson for the ACMA, which is an alliance for all Corridor Management Institutions on the Continent of Africa.
