AidEx Brussels

AidEx is the leading international event dedicated to the unique needs of development and aid professionals across the world; held over two days annually at Brussels Expo, in Belgium.

AidEx is recognised as a major platform for networking, making new contacts and doing business. By taking part, you will forge new relationships in the community, raise awareness of your organisation and be involved in the sourcing of new solutions to improve the efficiency of aid delivery.

AidEx Africa

Now in it's fourth year, AidEx Africa is a two-day high-profile conference which takes place annually in Nairobi, Kenya. AidEx Africa was developed as a satellite event to the already well-established AidEx conference and exhibition for humanitarian and development aid, held each year in Brussels.

AidEx Africa attracts over 300 delegates from the Government of Kenya, UN agencies, Kenyan Red Cross and leading NGOs from Africa and beyond.

The Humanitarian & Development Journalism Award which will take place at AidEx on the 17th of November 2016.

The standard of humanitarian and development reporting influences the way the world perceives this community’s achievements. AidEx, in partnership with NRS International want to help celebrate the hard work done by journalists in portraying the realities of an often misunderstood sector.

The award is split into two categories:

- Reporting: for print, radio, TV broadcast or digital - vote for your favourite report here >

There will be one winner for each category. Entries will be judged by an independent panel of experts as well as a public vote by the AidEx community. Each winner will receive a trophy and €2,500, presented at AidEx at Brussels Expo on 17th November 2016.

"Winning the inaugural Aidex Humanitarian Photojournalism Award meant a great deal to me as a photographer. Being internationally recognised for my work on the Ebola in Liberia not only raised my profile as a photographer but also raised awareness of the important work the Red Cross does in very difficult situations around the world. The award has allowed me to upgrade my photography equipment and has motivated me to seek new challenges in photojournalism and I expect it will inspire other photographers to tell their stories."
